D Back to Top Directive or passive environment: An environment where most things are done for the child or to the child with deafblindness with few opportunities for choice making, problem-solving, communication or interaction.

IFSP: Individual family service plan for children who are receiving early intervention services.
Intervener: A person who works consistently one-to-one with an individual who is deafblind, and who has training and specialized skills related to deafblindness.
Intervention: A process that creates access to visual and auditory information and connects the child to the world.
